Amazon India at the top, Flipkart gets a runner up

With 42% of respondents voting ( amongst 2000 online shoppers) for Amazon India, flipkart now stays at the second spot for the most favored online shopping sites in India, according to the People’s Choice Survey conducted by cashback and coupons site CashKaro.com. Flipkart was expected to do lead the group but fell short at 40% support. For mobile purchase majority of buyers opted  Flipkart , while Amazon India was the first choice for the majority for laptop and electronic dealings.

            The big money flow into the Indian ecommerce industry is expected to continue from hereafter as the average money Indians will be spending to do online shopping is expected to rise from 6000 INR to 10000 INR in 2015 as per a study conducted by Assocham-PwC. Indian ecommerce industry, growing at a steady rate from the last 3-4 years is eyeing the US $100 billion mark by 2020. Factors affecting ranking of these online shopping sites are a benchmark for the players in 2015- Cashback and deals in the case of Amazon India
